Bury St Edmunds, or just Bury as it’s called locally, is at the heart of East Anglia, with easy road and rail links to Norwich, Cambridge and Ipswich. The historic town centre is also home to the Abbey Gardens and the ruins of the town’s abbey dating back to 1214 AD, On Wednesdays and Saturdays you’ll find a street market with a diversity of stalls and thriving Street Market Food Scene. The famous Theatre Royal, two cinemas and a number of fine pubs and independent bars, add to the attractions, and in addition to this, Bury is also home to over 80 eateries, both independent and chains, and has the only Michelin starred restaurant in Suffolk.
